Hello to more than 800 Fellow SLSA Members - those that have e-mail.
If you have lake neighbors that don't have e-mail, please share this update
with them.
We want to provide you with an update of activities that have been
undertaken by your hard-working SLSA Board members: Hugh Harper, Gordon
Benthal, Jim Clish, Brian Curial, Andy Fraser, Don Johnson, Jordan Kabat,
Dan Klemke, Roy Nilsen, and Bob Walker.
The Board:
- submitted our application to incorporate a non-profit society to be called
the Skeleton Lake Stewardship Association,
- is preparing an application to Canada Revenue Agency to become a
registered charity; that process takes from 4 to 9 months so we won't have
an answer for awhile
- will be launching our SLSA website very soon,
- will be finalizing our strategic plan
- continues discussions with Alberta Environment, and,
- committees are being created to help the Association accomplish our
goals.
We'll send another e-mail next week to keep you informed about SLSA's plans
and activities and to ask for your help with several undertakings.
